Overworked? Six simple ways to get back more time:
Give the work to someone else on your team.
This will be for tasks that still need to get done, but which are not the highest and best use of your time, skills and/or talents.
Hire someone outside your company to do this.
This could be because no one inside your company (including you) has this skill.
For example, maybe you've decided to create Youtube videos as part of your updated marketing strategy but you don't want to take the time to learn video production yourself nor to spend time and/or money training someone on your team. Therefore, you hire an outside agency to take care of it.
Just stop doing it - forever.
Combine multiple tasks into one.
Often very effective when you combine several tasks from the same (or similar) category.
For example, you may designate a "Meeting Day" and consolidate all your meetings (normally spread throughout the week) into that day.
Streamline the number of steps or moving parts.
Push off these tasks until a pre-determined date or indefinitely. This is different from eliminating it because you plan to get back to it at some point.
